Clerks across Colorado produce information to help the people they serve better understand elections. Here’s a collection of those efforts.


Learn about how election results are checked

Denver Elections developed a helpful short form (just over two minutes) video in 2018 walking viewers through the specific steps of the Risk Limiting Audit. 

 
 

Former Secretary of State Wayne Williams’ office produced a longer form video (about 28 minutes) on the Risk Limiting Audit, Colorado’s leadership developing that audit and the importance that leadership has to elections nationwide.


Learn about election security 

Boulder County has published an Election Security Community Briefing outlining in detail the steps taken to ensure election security and accuracy and explaining how citizens can get involved. You can read it here. 

Mesa County Elections provided information to the press on its logic and accuracy testing, helping to build awareness about these public tests and support confidence in the accuracy of the election.

Adams County Elections has created a one pager that helps people clearly understand the various ways their elections are safeguarded by both their staff and a detailed process. 


Get general election information

Douglas County Elections has created a one-stop-shop website for all election related information including answers to security and accuracy questions. You can see what they’ve done here. 

Jefferson County Elections provides informational videos on a host of election security related issues including drop box security, signature verification, ballot countingpost-election audits.

 
 

Pitkin County Elections has developed a website PitkinVotes.com that creates a one-stop shop for voters to both better understand upcoming elections as well as see full results from past elections.  

Weld County provides a single landing page for voters to see both current cycle election information including ballot trax and other real time help, as well as historical election results and FAQs that deal with election security.

Arapahoe County has an “Election Transparency” section on their Arapahoe Votes website that includes information on risk limiting audits, election certification documents and even a helpful video where you can watch a ballot move through the counting process. See online options for public ballot review

El Paso County Elections has a section called Records and Results which includes a ballot image audit and review tool as well as digital images of ballots cast in 2020 and a host of other information focused on accuracy and transparency. You can find their information here.
